I'll be back...

...like the Terminator, I'll be back.

I've been off the air for the last 3 weeks, and I wonder if you've noticed, hrm? I'm actually somewhat delirious from drugs right now, thanks to a nasty bout of strep throat and a sexy sinus infection. I'm sure my 14 day in a row work schedule I allowed myself didn't help the cause. Note to self.
I loathe being ill. I seriously hate it, it stops everything from moving forward. Stagnation makes me uncomfortable. So when I'm sick, when I'm not tuckered out sleeping, I'm learning how to be still and be okay with it. Essentially, it's probably a good thing, but I do it kicking and screaming.

Whoa... heavy. Let's get back to music before I find the meaning of life, er something.

So last week I asked a fellow programmer to sub for me and I hope you tuned in and enjoyed. Gregg has a very eclectic and amazing interest in music and I knew he'd be perfect for the spot. If you tuned in and are curious as to what was played, here's the playlist:

Saturdays Midnight-2 AM: And Otherness with Gregg Skloff
Also, I should mention that Gregg is super freaking talented. He's one of those people that perplexes me with his presence in tiny Astoria. Check out some of his wicked (and I don't mean that in the current hip use of the word, but wicked as in like super brilliant) work here on Soundcloud:

That cat knows his sh*t.

I leave you now, nauseous from antibiotics, a lovely cold sore to boot, and feeling a bit like Igor... with a song from Shabazz Palaces... who have a new release out on Sub Pop today! Love it.

Be well and love one another. Seriously.

Amy on the meds.

Amy off the Radio. For a night.

No radio for this busy girl this week.  Sorry listeners!  I'll be back on KMUN next Monday at midnight with the Eclectic Boogaloo Hour.
Until next time, I wanted to share a few videos.  May not be appropriate for some viewers, I suppose. That is if you find scantily clad pizza delivery women offensive.  I really enjoy finding new music via Vimeo.  Vimeo is an online network for videos.  So while I'm able to discover really great artistic videos, the music to some of them rocks my socks off!

Enjoy and be well!

A.
